"Libertarian Larry"'s obituary....
POCATELLO - Larry Gene Fullmer, 61, a resident of Pocatello since 1963, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2005, at his home.
He was born September 22, 1943, in Rexburg, Idaho, a son of Theo Charles and Bettie Francine Hammond Fullmer.
He attended schools in the Sugar-Salem School District and graduated from Sugar-Salem High School in 1961, where he was student body president.
His marriage to Kathy Mauk in Pocatello ended in divorce. Following high school, he served in the National Guard and also lived in California for a short time. He came to Pocatello in 1963, and attended ISU.
He worked for Martin Stationers for several years and his last employment was with Heinz Foods for 15 years. He liked the out-of-doors and was a devout libertarian. He ran for the state Legislature on the Libertarian ticket in 1976.
Survivors include three sisters, Mary Fran (Steve) Jeppesen, St. Anthony, Idaho, Barbara Ann (Craig) Hansen, Vacaville, California, Christina (Dennis) Weimer, Rigby, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Outdoor memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at Lower Ross Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
