The news keeps breaking so fast that I have to correct myself on a daily basis. Wait a minute...I do that anyway, even without CNN...
But I digress. Yesterday I blogged about Michael Moore's anti-Bush 'documentary' being dropped by the cable channel that was poised to air it just prior to election night. That blog ended with the comment, "Meanwhile, the conservative Sinclair Broadcast Group is still planning to air the rabidly anti-Kerry documentary 'Stolen Honor: Wounds that Never Heal' just prior to the election." Today, WorldNetDaily reports Sinclair won't run all of 'Stolen Honor'... "Amid pressure from Democrats, Sinclair Broadcast Group says it will not air an anti-Kerry documentary in its entirety but plans to include excerpts in a special news program Friday." What sort of 'pressure from Democrats', you ask? Another report from WorldNetDaily adds, "powerhouse attorney and Democratic party donor William S. Lerach sent a letter today (10/19) to the news company calling the broadcast plan "reckless," alleging insider trading by officers and threatening a shareholder lawsuit."
Also as follow-up on an earlier blog... Reuters reports, "Lawyers for conservative Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly said on Tuesday they believe a fellow employee accusing him of sexual harassment has recordings of calls between them and they are seeking a court order to obtain them." As I explained in the earlier blog, "It is illegal to tape a phone conversation in NY without the other party's consent. Thus, if she has taped him, she has committed a criminal act...This leaves Mackris in a bit of a dilemma. In order to substantiate her charges with evidence she has to leave herself open to a criminal charge." FOX News is playing hard ball, and who can blame them? $60 million for alleged phone sex? The woman has reached her 30s and she doesn't know how to hang up a phone? Of course, doing so might interfere with the purpose for which she had recording equipment she'd attached...
