On the Political Front:

Now that millions of people are opposing the war, Democrats sense a constituency and they are doing a pre-2004 campaign push as "antiwar" candidates.

Dennis Kucinich of Ohio and Carol Moseley-Braun have a right to claim that label: they stood up when it wasn't "popular." But where the hell were the other spineless Democrats when every war move, every Homeland Security measure was being approved so quickly that sometimes the bills weren't even read. The invertebrate Democrats were jumping to their feet, saluting war, and yelling "Me Too!" at the top of their lungs. The cowardly hypocrites share responsibility with the Republicans (Ron Paul excepted) for the totalitarian mess that has become America's reality and for the upcoming horror of war/foreign policy, the consequences of which we will all live for decades.
